In this recipe I will show you how to make homemade vanilla sugar so you don't have to add an artificial essence to your preparations!

The first step to make homemade vanilla sugar is to put the sugar in a container that can be tightly closed. Then, cut the vanilla bean lengthways with a knife and scrape out the seeds. After that, add the pod and the vanilla seeds to the sugar. Finally, close the container and let the sugar steep/macerate for at least 1 week.
You can add more sugar to the container after consuming some of the vanilla sugar. For a less intense version of vanilla sugar, add a used and already scraped out vanilla bean to it.
