Today I will show you how to prepare almond flour. You can use it to replace part of the flour in recipes or to make macarons for example!

To prepare the homemade almond flour forst bring water to a boil in a saucepan. Once the water is boiling, put the almonds in the water. Let the almonds boil for a few minutes in the water and then remove one to see if the skin can easily be peeled off. When this point is reached, strain the boiling water and peel the almonds.
The second step is to dry the almonds. Put the peeled almonds in a microwavable container in the microwave for 20 seconds at a power of 800 watt. Remove the bowl after this time from the microwave and stir the almonds with a spoon and then put them back in the microwave for another 20 seconds. Take the almonds out of the microwave after this time again, stir them and place the container again in the microwave for another 20 seconds. Perform this cycle until the almonds are dry. Do not leave the almonds too much time int he microwave oven. We do not want to roast them.
Another way to dry the almonds is in the oven at 250 degrees Fahrenheit. Put the almonds in a baking pan and bring them to the oven until they are dry. They should not start to roast.
The next step is to grind the almonds. For that, they must be cold and dry. Put them in a food processor or food chopper and grind them as small as possible. In smaller portions, the almonds can also be ground in a coffee grinder. After that you can store the flour in an airtight container. You can also store it in the freezer.
